The narrower front tooth just beside the upper right central incisor.
- In front: #8 upper right central incisor
- Behind: #6 upper right canine
- Same tooth on the other side: #10 upper left lateral incisor
- Bites against: #26 lower right lateral incisor
It replaces the upper right baby lateral incisor (D), which falls out at 7–8 years.

This tooth is #7 in the US and 12 in the international (FDI) system, where the 1 means the upper right quarter and the 2 is its place counting from the front.
There's no international tooth 7, because those numbers always have two digits.
And in the US, #12 is the upper left first premolar.
