The narrower front tooth just beside the upper left central incisor.
- In front: #9 upper left central incisor
- Behind: #11 upper left canine
- Same tooth on the other side: #7 upper right lateral incisor
- Bites against: #23 lower left lateral incisor
It replaces the upper left baby lateral incisor (G), which falls out at 7–8 years.

This tooth is #10 in the US and 22 in the international (FDI) system, where the 2 means the upper left quarter and the 2 is its place counting from the front.
There's no international tooth 10, because those numbers always have two digits.
And in the US, #22 is the lower left canine.
