The pointed tooth at the corner of the upper front teeth, on the left.
- In front: #10 upper left lateral incisor
- Behind: #12 upper left first premolar
- Same tooth on the other side: #6 upper right canine
- Bites against: #22 lower left canine
It replaces the upper left baby canine (H), which falls out at 10–12 years.

This tooth is #11 in the US and 23 in the international (FDI) system, where the 2 means the upper left quarter and the 3 is its place counting from the front.
In the international system, 11 is the upper right central incisor (#8).
And in the US, #23 is the lower left lateral incisor.
